ARE YOU THIRSTY?

Allow me to share today’s bible text from John 4:7-42, “Jesus said, Woman, give me a drink!” The Lord told me anyone can put their name there. “Pastor, give me a drink; teacher, give me a drink!” Put your name there and make it personal! He wants to make Himself known to you!

Jesus went to the town to minister to the Samaritan woman by Jacob’s well that day. It was intentional, even though it was not common for Jews to speak to Samaritans. He will always go to those in NEED regardless if it’s popular or not!

Jesus, asked her for a drink, not necessarily to minister to HIS NEED! He wished to fulfill her insatiable thirst for life. His motive was to reveal her identity and her calling to her. Jesus helped her reach out to the community in her sphere of influence. To bring healing, hope, and purpose, as well as restoration to many people who were broken and lost.

Today, He has the same heart for you and me! Jesus came to those who are ignored, despised, and poor in spirit. He created us to be filled with Him and by Him! Human nature has tried for centuries to figure out how to fill the void within their heart. Tragically, many seek after fame, fortune, love, sex, drugs, and alcohol, and other false altars. Each must succumb to the ONE person who can bring true satisfaction to your soul, the Lord Jesus Christ. He is the missing link and piece we all desperately need. He alone quenches the emptiness every heart has tried to pursue, capture, and fill. We must lay aside everything that has distracted us from Him. Press in and climb higher to seek Him. He will reward you. He will bring lasting changes and results to those who are insatiable. They yearn for His acceptance and love.

Vacate and empty your vessel by pouring out your heart to the Lord. Lay down all your thoughts, concerns, and questions and the things that hurt, hinder and distract you. “Cast ALL your cares upon Him, because He cares for you.” We all have an empty well. He alone is the only one who can fill the void and fill up the empty spaces within. Nothing and NO ONE can reach the God-sized hole in each one of us, except by Him!

Jesus is still the same today! He is searching for those who are ready to accept ALL He has given. He desires to cross over every barrier, denomination, culture, and race. He wants to BRIDGE the gap and bring healing and recovery to humanity. He has paid it all. There is no place He won’t trod to bring LIFE to HIS people. Many are in NEED today for a special touch and visitation from the Master. They need this to be freed. They can recover from a wounded, stagnant, and stuck place in their painful past.

The devil has lied and seduced many. They believe they have gone too far and think the Lord is mad at them for their mistakes. They feel shame for the condition of their sinfulness. They have a negative and distorted perception of who Jesus really is. He has come to free mankind from the bondage of sin, death and to open the prison doors. Many are deceived and believe they’re stuck in captivity and lodged deep within a prison cell. They need only a touch from the Lord. By learning the truth from His lips, they can remove the blindness that has held them in captivity. From the unsaved, to the backslider. Many mature Christians suffer from such mindsets in this late hour. We can imagine the woman by the well had a great need. Jesus met her there. She could draw upon His anointing to find her deliverance.
(NOTE: See pictures below.) A visual. A cup you would offer to JESUS looks like this 1st pic., a small cup, not even full. It has no real life and is maybe even cracked. But when Jesus gives you a DRINK, 2nd pic., HE will FLOOD your life. It will teem with so much life and vibrancy. It will fill up your dry and empty well.)

Jesus said, “If you knew the Gift of God, you would have asked Him. You would have known who it is who says to you, ‘GIVE ME A DRINK.’ He would have given you LIVING WATER.”
People hinder their growth. They are held back by their own satisfaction with the world’s pleasures. They dwell on the distractions and hide, because they don’t know or want to think about who HE is. They refuse to obey or surrender to HIM.

The GIFT of GOD is God sending HIS SON JESUS to die for you and me. He chose us. He purchased us. He redeemed us. You must accept Him as a gift. Unwrap His salvation and accept His love and His help. He bore your sin and took it upon Himself for you and me. By His love and His shed blood, He willingly died to become the permanent holy, unblemished LAMB. He did this to atone for each one’s sins. You must come to Him with a true, sincere, repentant heart and accept His FREE GIFT. Today, invite Him into your entire being and ask Him for a cool drink for your parched soul! “Ask for Living waters and He will give you abundant LIFE!” John 10:10

He will take any opportunity you allow. He can make needful transformations in your life. He will develop a personal relationship to connect with you in a REAL way. He will develop within your heart an intimate and mutual love relationship with you. He will achieve this through levels of spiritual growth. It is a maturity process shaped by all the deep trials and situations you are facing. He will withdraw for a time, and it will cause you to seek Him and look passionately for Him. He may even cause your heart to languish awhile, like a fish out of water. During these dry seasons, learn to develop your skills. Focus on what He was teaching you and training you. Now, you are learning to walk it out and live by these principles. Don’t grow discouraged or feel defeated; know He will NEVER leave you nor forsake you. You don’t have to give way to fear, or be dismayed. Show Him you trust Him!

Daily, she went to the well to get a fresh supply of water. Likewise, we go directly to Jesus to pray and read. We keep our hearts and lives immersed and refreshed in Him. She didn’t discern or perceive spiritually what He meant. She reasoned within her intellect. Then she replied, “Sir, you don’t have anything to draw out the water with. The well is deep. Where will you get LIVING WATER? Are you greater than our father Jacob is?” She had many questions, as you do. You have concerns and questions. You want to know how He will meet your needs. You wonder how He will solve your problems. You wish to understand how He will take care of all your fears. TRUST HIS process in you. He knows what you have need of. He has called you to enter into a place of rest in His heart. Hebrews 4. Learn and relax in His provisions for you! “Be still and KNOW that He is God!” Have faith like a little child, and ALLOW Him to be your Father, Parent, Guardian, and Caretaker. Do you expect your kids to pay the rent and supply the food or clothing? NO! Why do you reason and worry about how He will give to you then!?

The Lord told me to tell His people that He loves them and wants to take care of them. Many of His people are dysfunctional! They want to take care of what concerns Him without allowing Him to take care of them. They are struggling with control. They are in their head instead of walking in the spirit. This prevents Him from being the leader. He wants to put His LOVE deep within your heart! Acknowledge His words to you today and choose LIFE! Invite Him in all the rooms of your heart. He must be invited and have your full permission. Then He will complete His work perfectly in you. He will transform what concerns you. He can develop your heart and life to have something to DRAW WATER WITH!

You then will become a pitcher that is submissive and surrendered. You will be a yielded, willing, and obedient (empty) vessel. You will be someone He can cleanse, heal, fill up, and recover. He will use you to speak and pour into others. Be willing to walk in the paths of a consecrated life. Live a Holy life with Him.

He is LOOKING for vessels today! They don’t have to be fancy or perfect; they just need to be available to Him. He will do all the work with your cooperation. He will cleanse you as you empty and pour out SELF. He will exchange natures with you, filling you with HIS Spirit so you won’t THIRST again! When you allow Him to saturate your life with His presence, His life can flow freely to you. This will enable you to get up and go forward and do the greater works that Jesus did. The Lord wants to assure His people. He wants to build them up. He wants you to know that you can approach Him with all your questions. You can also come to Him with your concerns. You can approach Him and pour out your heart to Him. He won’t get tired. He won’t get irritated. He won’t get short with you. He will lovingly speak the truth to your personal needs.”He told her, whoever drinks of this water will thirst again. But whoever drinks of the water that I give will NEVER thirst! It will become a fountain springing up to everlasting life.”

A FULL Surrender of everything your heart is carrying is your FREEDOM! You will be liberated from ALL things that chain you. There will be plenty of challenges from the devil, who doesn’t want to give up any territory in you. That space was taken, and it gets pretty crowded in there. That is why it is essential to fight and engage in the warfare. You must kick him out. He can then build a beautiful tabernacle and resting place. This work is needful for your spiritual growth and development. You must stay on the path that leads home. He is preparing a place for you in heaven. He is establishing His Kingdom in your vessel. It is important to allow Him full access in every area of your life. Let Him influence your thoughts and mindsets. Allow Him to guide your behaviors, patterns, motives, and attitudes. Invite Him to search your entire life. Ask Him to get involved with working out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

He tactfully and lovingly ministered to ALL her questions. He was kind and gentle. He helped her to let go of her fears, and she put her guard down. He had her full attention and proceeded to reel her into accepting accountability for her life. He asked her to go get her husband. She said she didn’t have one. Then He prophesied her life story to her. He read her mail. She perceived He was a prophet and said, I know the Messiah is coming, and He said, I am He. He revealed Himself to her. That is what each of us needs today. A real revelation and encounter with the Lord. Many outside the church can see that!

What is standing in your way to wholeness? I am testifying you can trust your life to Jesus! He is faithful and genuinely cares about your whole existence and is a true friend. He ministered to her beautifully that day, and she wasn’t inhibited but she poured out her heart to Him. The disciples came, and they marveled that He was talking to her, but no one said a word. The woman left her water jar. She went her way into the city. She said to the men, come and see a Man who told me all the things that I ever did! She opened up the door. Many came to know the Lord. The town experienced true revival. There was a reawakening.

Jesus is still FISHING FOR SOULS today; changing lives is His heartbeat and purpose. This should be what sparks us, to keep the flame of His love burning brightly within our hearts. He will help you to become, “Fishers of MEN”. Many need to lift up their eyes to the Lord. He can help them resolve many of the problems. It is time to stop trying to solve them alone. You are thirsty for a deeper intimacy with Jesus. Jerm. 2:15 “For My people have committed two evils, they have forsaken Me, the fountain of living waters and hew themselves cisterns, broken cisterns that can no hold water!”

It is time to repent and do it His way and give up and give yourself to Him freely. Invite Him into your mess and stress. Allow Him to process you and give you a new wine skin. This will hold the NEW WINE for these greater days upon us! He wants you to leave your old water jar and cistern. Enter into His fountain and find Him afresh. Be overflowed with His LIFE, fresh, free, and on fire for Him. Burning hot in love with passion for JESUS and for Souls! Pouring out freely as He poured into your life, teaching you to become a fisher of men. Allow Him to lead you and share as a true witness to those He sends you to. He will show up and make Himself real and alive to each heart that is His. My prayer is that you will read this blog and the various articles. Glean and grow up in all aspects in Christ. Shed off the hinderances and recognize the distractions. Allow God to get to the root of your problems. Let Him take your brokenness. Jesus will make it into a work of beauty! He will mold you. He will bring a lasting transformation. This will help you become an effective witness for Jesus. You will be prepared for this End Time Outpouring of His Glory of His Spirit. I pray that you will become stirred to take your place in this Harvest so you maybe a COOL DRINK of refreshing to someone else who is Thirsty!
