“SEEK A PLACE IN HIS HEART!”

I was praying during an early morning devotion. I had been asking God for direction about ministry. He share for me to seek for a place in His heart, versus a position in ministry. It is a higher calling, it was a oh, wow moment. I didn’t strive only for ministry, my heart was hungry for much more, but He gave me a deeper insight and revelation to share with others. He encouraged me to look for a place in His heart. A place is so much more comfortable and personal. Naturally, sounds like home to me. We will be led to reach out to minister to many people we come in contact with. We all must minister from His heart to reach the heart of those who are lost! It is more effective to show people authentic love and genuine compassion. They will sense a greater need for the Lord when He is represented in a way that is not so steeped in religious jargon. People need His wisdom, guidance and presence to be made into great leaders. They need His revelations, insight and words to be a prophetic voice in the end times.

This also includes a fervency about HIS love and HIS heart beat for His own. He alone knows what He is doing and what each individual has need of. Non-believers and believers alike are looking for more! So we must learn at the feet of Jesus to communicate as He would.
Seeking His face is not only about what you need but what is His agenda in using you. It takes away the pressure and stress off your life. This makes it is easier for God to save, heal, and deliver the people. You are not a part of the process. You are the hands and feet of His extension to the world. God gets all the credit due to Him! Acts 17:28 “For in Him we live, and move, and have our being.” Learning to live and move and have our being in the midst of His heart and bosom is profound. Embracing His will and presence holds immense value and a greater significance. This is the “greater” position to seek a place in His heart. It is the “best” place to be as a true minister of His!

Mary sought to sit at the feet of Jesus. She had her place, which shows her process in Him. Martha complained to Jesus that she was doing all the work, she had the position of assumed responsibility to serve. Lots of hard work, but Jesus didn’t deny Mary her place. Luke 10:38, Notice the essential distinction. There’s a difference between the waiting and the sitting. Then, there’s the work. Ministry is all about hard work and the laborers are few! Ministry begins from this place of waiting at His feet. You minister from the overflow. Daily we come back to refill and we must hold back some oil of His anointing to keep for ourselves. Don’t give it all away. Some new leaders become delusional and discouraged because they don’t realize how hard it is. People think it’s all about fame and followers but it is not!

In John 12:1-8, Mary of Bethany had another opportunity. She came to Jesus in front of people who were there with Lazarus. She had an expensive jar of alabaster oil, that she broke the seal and her gift fill the room as she sat at the feet of her Lord and Master. As a result, she poured out the fragrance of her heart and wept and gave her all to Him. Her heart developed God’s perfected love through her deliverance. The healing she received gave her a new perspective. This intimacy she received dramatically changed her life! She suffered personal persecution. Judas said it was a waste of money, but she sacrificed her all for the Lord. It represented His promise of forgiveness and love of all, by dying on the cross for humanity. It was a promise for many more Mary’s to come. He was willing to die and forgive each of us!

Mary Magdalene, also had beautiful encounters with Jesus. She was delivered and experienced deep healing and transformation from His ministry to her. She was a close follower and was there with His mother at the cross. Jesus chose her to be the first one to see Him after the resurrection. The disciples didn’t believe her and she suffered from persecution in her obedience to the Lord’s instructions. As we get closer to the Lord, we will find ourselves carrying a heavier cross. This happens due to the anointing and willingness to be used and to obey God. The Lord will tell you to do something special and specific for Him. No one else knows what He speaks and as a result many people will doubt you. Obeying the Lord in spite of the suffering will produce favorable results, despite the difficulties. Obeying the Lord is the best sacrifice you can give Him! You know what He said, just don’t worry about the repercussions of man, obedience is better than sacrifice.

First, understand who you are serving. The God of the Universe. Secondly, learn to prepare your heart to do it His way alone. Third, seek Him to know His directives, you must have His mind, heart and guidance. This is essential to stay within the boundaries of the anointing upon you in this season. We must never move out ahead of God. This is dangerous territory. Doing so will open up spiritual warfare and invite spiritual pride and a fall from grace. We develop a deep sense of importance of being in His presence before, and during the work of ministry. All of it is ministry! It is crucial to learn to worship and submit to become humble, surrendered and yielded to His righteousness, rule, and will. Before the work, there must be a sitting and a season of waiting on God to develop obedience to become seasoned.

One day, at His heavenly marriage supper, your place-card (name) will be required. It will be needed to be seated with Him at this precious communion table. Why is it He says, depart from Me, I know you not? Because your name is required at the supper table, we all will assume a position of humility! So many are distracted by “chasing the carrot” about a ministry position. What is our calling, our identity, our God given purpose? Very important questions, but we should first learn to seek God who created us, seek to know Him and be known by Him! Open up every door and possible avenue for the Lord to search your heart and mind and soul. We need to learn and ask Him to bring us the fulfillment that He desires. He told me to come to Him for the manual of You! He knows! Then you can be satisfied and ready for service.

Even the disciples argued about who will have a seat close in proximity to Jesus in Heaven. Mark 10:37 “They replied, “When you sit on your glorious throne, we want to sit in places of honor next to you, one on your right and the other on your left.” The Lord says, to be looking for a place in His heart, versus a position in ministry. We are to look to the Lord for “A place” in His bosom, in love and in union with Him. Seeking “A position”, a title, or ministry reveals an improper heart and motive. It is personal to you! No-one else can define your relationship with your God. As I was writing, I saw it is the only thing some people are seeking from God. A ministry, a position of honor for the ego and flesh. That makes Him sad. He deserves more from us. We should start with a sincere heart that loves Him and wants to be in His presence. We are to be open to repentance and seeking His face and His love and forgiveness is essential. We also should be focusing on learning all we can from Him.

A wise person knows that ministry “work” is only effective with a deep hunger and love for God. You need an intimate relationship with the Lord. This deep connection flows from sitting with Him in stillness. We wait for His presence to come and reveal Himself to your heart. God will do more for you sitting at His feet. He begins to open doors for opportunities there. This is better than you striving in the flesh to make it happen!
It is in your daily walk, having precious moments with new people you meet. Dropping His seed, His Word in the hearts is a great gift to those you meet. Having personal encounters with Jesus is what every heart needs!

Daily come and meet Him at the brook! We express to individuals that He is real and He longs to help them navigate through life. By doing this, we help them understand it is not just a false reality. It is not a religious pie in the sky. God cares about them where they are. He wants a chance to showcase Himself to them.
Then we can continue to pray for the Lord to nurture and water the seed. We ask Him to cause it to grow. We pray for Him to bring them into His kingdom. They are His children as are we. It is His KINGDOM we are promoting and not our names, church, or any other religious organization. It is all for Him, and its All about Him and we must NEVER forget it! We learn from making many mistakes and we will never forget them when we do. God will teach us hard lessons like He did Peter. He wept bitterly when the prophecy of the crow was fulfilled. The Lord, in time restored Peter and He was a more effective and bold witness than before. So will we be, as long as we keep Him first!

Jesus gave Peter and John a ministry assignment. In Him they had a place. It opened up to them a position to work together in ministry. Both had the ability to do it alone, but Jesus wanted them to work in unity. They were to locate the place He selected for the last supper of His life and prepare for Passover. They asked Him the questions for the details and He gave the prophetic instructions. To go enter the city, a man carrying a water pot will meet you. Follow him into the house he enters. Tell the owner, ‘The teacher says, where is the guest room? Where may I eat the Passover with My disciples?’ He will show you a large, furnished upper room. They followed it. They began to prepare for the full meal. They organized the cooking, food preparation, and drinks. They also arranged seating and all the details.

It was important to Jesus, because He would introduce the concept of communion and intimacy with Him. Where He displays His great love for them to see. Where one, Judas who has seen so many things would be deceptive and betraying the Lord. Where words were declared that was hard to hear, regarding Peter’s betrayal.
It was an assignment given by Him. That is what ministry is. The Holy Spirit assigns tasks. We obey and we get more. We follow His lead and instructions to the T. We are blessed and we develop trust with the Lord. He will lead us in small things at first, don’t despise small beginnings, be faithful to Him in all things. We should not care what others see us do, we live to serve the One! Obeying God is extremely important. Everything He asks from us is for a reason and a purpose. It’s crucial we do as He says, as He speaks; without sugar coating or making the medicine go down easier.

He has waited on people long enough, dragging their feet and He has to do a-lot in a short time. New Christians and old alike need to stop being stuck. A strong word from the Lord will be what they need to hear God say to shift and obey. He is loving, patient, and kind. He has a great plan for you and your family. We must be awaken to the current reality of this world. He will and can do it! He is trying to put His people in a posture of repentance, humility and integrity. He wants to bring us into a deeper relationship with Him. He will reestablish and heal His true Bride. He will equip us where we are firmly committed to Him. Will we be ready and willing to stand firm? Obedience is crucial when critical times arise when spiritual darkness will evade the world. Without this preparation many will fall away from the faith. So we must be careful to watch and pray. To stay calm and not surrender and give up your peace. Stay focused on what God has spoken to you. Seek Him for help and guidance. This will aid you in accomplishing His will for this day.
